Sinful Colors Mint Apple – Drugstore Mint Goodness!

I have a slight obsession with mint green polishes.  I can’t get enough of them.  I have been trying desperately to keep my stash count in check by NOT trying new brands, but somehow, thanks to some uncooperative force of nature, a new mint green polish would come along from this new brand and I just HAVE to have that “new” color.  Sigh.

Well, this polish I have for you today doesn’t really make me cry by reminding me of how expensive this hobby has become.  It cost me a mere $2 plus tax!  Yay!

Sinful Colors – yet another not-so-talked-about-but-loved-anyway polish brand that could teach Sally Hansen a thing or two about keeping the price points they sell their products for in check (hello, you ain’t a drugstore brand for nothing even if you market your stuff as “salon products” now).  They have quite a huge array of colors in different hues and finishes.  The price makes Sinful a winner for me even if quite a few of their polishes are kinda iffy formula-wise.  Here’s my comprehensive review of Mint Apple.

Formula: This is the reason why I’m thankful this polish only cost me $2 – the formula is thick and gloopy.  I had some uneven patches that were visible even after applying top coat.  Nothing that’s worthy of expletives, though.

Opacity: Took me two coats to make it opaque, but added another coat to make the surface a bit more even.

Color: This is unique in my stash and that’s saying a lot – considering the fact that I’ve developed quite a significant stash of green polishes.  This particular mint green shade is unique and not like the other mint greens released in the past.  It has a dusty feel to it (that might not be too obvious on my photos due to the lighting, sorry) plus a slight silver shimmer that keeps the polish from looking flat.  Definitely worth stalking every drugstore within a 10-mile radius for.

Extra! Extra!: You know, I’ve said it all – it’s unique, cheap, and easily available.  What more do I have to say to convince you guys?
