Orly ‘Tis The Season Collection Holiday 2010

I know I know it’s not a -ber month yet and I’m already featuring a Holiday collection!  Please indulge me, since I’m still on the road and not settled in to finish new swatches and write some decent content.  So all I could show you are color previews and display pics.  I should have proper swatches of these Orly’s plus Cosmic FX, sometime next week.  These bottles have been calling out my name!

And on to some pretty bottle photos, my favorite part of previews.

Yes, I think I’m buying the whole thing…because…did I ever mention how much I like Orly?  I actually like their bottle and brush better than OPI.  They’re easier on the pocket to be addicted to as well since they don’t keep coming out with 12-piece collections every season plus limited edition polishes (which I hate) plus smaller collections here on there…it’s so dizzying, if you get what I mean?  I just realized that, after accumulating nail polish that would polish my fingers my entire lifetime and get me through the afterlife too, quality is better than quantity.  I’d rather see a small yet well-thought-of capsule collection (think Rescue Beauty Lounge) compared to a large collection that has half reds or half colors that have been done a million times before.

So yes, I will keep buying entire collections of Orly for as long as they’re in the colors I want.  Because Orly rocks my world.  It’s one of the first brands I have tried using when I was a young polish enthusiast (second only to Essie), and it remains one of my favorites.

Can’t wait for all the glitzy Holiday colors to come out!

Orly Instant Artist Collection – for Nail Art Lovers Out There

Orly is on a roll, and I’m wiping the drool off my face!

As if releasing info about the upcoming fall collections, Cosmix and Plastix (if you’ve been living under a rock and haven’t heard about these yet, check out my quick post here), got wind of new stuff from one of my fave nail polish brands, Orly.  Introducing a whole new line of stuff with the nail art lovers in mind – the Instant Artist Collection.

As some of you may already know, I’m such an absolute loser as far as nail art is concerned (my miserable attempt documented in this post). This is in spite of the fact that I have a whole bunch of Konad plates and polishes as well as tons of nail art stuff purchased from Ebay Hongkong sellers.  I promised myself that I would free up some time to practice, look at more nail art pics and watch more nail art videos over at YouTube (recommendations, anyone?).  Speaking of videos, Orly has their own pretty neat nail art tutorial here using their own products.

Even if my nail art stash is virtually untouched I can’t help but WANT to try these awesome nail art polishes.  Nail art polish with the signature Orly gripper cap?  Sign me up!  (Note to self:  Should definitely dedicate a whole post on how much I love the Orly brush and the gripper cap that makes application such a breeze!)  Did I mention that the Instant Artist polishes are actually water-based so that makes removal so easy?

Fabulous Orly Fall 2010: Cosmix Collection & Plastix Collection

What’s up with the -ix, Orly?  Well, not complaining.  Seems like Orly is “pioneering” new nail polish finishes.  Or so they say in their official press release for their upcoming Fall collections, Cosmix and Plastix.

Straight from Orly:

LOVE at first sight!  The official word from Orly:

I think I’m going to end up buying all of these.  Because they’re pretty.  And look unique.  And because even if I think all these beauty innovation shit is just a ploy to make me want to buy more polish, I am still going to end up buying each and every bottle in this collection.  Besides – I think Orly is extremely underrated and they could beat other more expensive salon brands by a mile.  Not to mention they don’t thresh out 12-piece seasonal collections that bleed my wallet dry.
