CND Shellac: My Dream Nail Indulgence

Have you heard about Shellac?
Creative Nail Design, now more commonly called CND, is on a roll with new polish innovations. First, they revamped their whole polish and treatment line and created a core line of Color and Effects – meant to create hundreds of nail looks by combining a base creme and an effect. There are currently 50 core colors of different hues and 15 core effects of different types (sparkles, shimmers) available. You can play around with the great stuff over at the CND website, which has an interactive mix and match feature. I’ve got to tell you – the cremes I’ve tried are beyond awesome. Formula is sooo nice. CND should definitely make more! Can’t wait to try effects with them. Reviews to come soon.
Now they are revolutionizing the nail care world with Shellac – CND’s answer to gels and acrylics – and even traditional nail polish! Straight from CND:
CND (Creative Nail Design), the leader in professional nail, hand and foot beauty, is proud to introduce the first hybrid nail color after nearly five years of development in its state-of-the-art laboratory. Now you can say good-bye to chips, smudges, and dry time and say hello to Shellac™ Hybrid Nail Color! This revolutionary product applies like polish, wears flawlessly for 14 days of high gloss shine, and is removed in minutes.
The following images and catch phrases, from the CND website, are enough to make me salivate:

No more chips and smudges? Count me in!

Key words: Zero dry time. Yay!

Goodbye tip wear and chipping, indeed! Hallelujah!

And it’s for the toes too! Well admittedly this part didn’t really entice me since my pedis normally last for as long as I want them to.

This is another advantage that I couldn’t really consider a plus for me, since I’ve never worn acrylics or gels. I’ve always been an au naturel kind of gal.
What’s cool is that Shellac applies just like regular polish and promises a chip-free manicure that could last weeks. Check out the Shellac colors here. The Shellac system even has a base and top coat specially designed to work for that long-lasting manicure. Removal is also a breeze with the specially-made remover wipes. You can view the products in the Shellac system through the CND website.
And to top it all off, I want to fly back to the US and find myself a Shellac salon when I saw this nifty scorecard:

Woohoo! Too bad the nearest salon to where I live in the US is too far away.
Please CND, expand and train new people fast!
