Anyone excited for this year’s Golden Globe Awards?

I have to admit, I never get to watch more than half of the movies nominated in these awards shows. In all fairness to me, a lot of these not-so-bankable movies never get released here in Manila anyway, unless they eventually hit Oscar gold ala Slumdog Millionaire.

Enough excuses. Back to the Golden Globes – well, I must say, there were a few nice surprises and interesting quirks for me in this year’s list of nominees. I enjoy the Hollywood awards season simply because it’s such a nice way to find out about films worth watching. I enjoy gawking at those fabulous red carpet get-ups too.
