Orly ‘Tis The Season Collection Holiday 2010

I know I know it’s not a -ber month yet and I’m already featuring a Holiday collection!  Please indulge me, since I’m still on the road and not settled in to finish new swatches and write some decent content.  So all I could show you are color previews and display pics.  I should have proper swatches of these Orly’s plus Cosmic FX, sometime next week.  These bottles have been calling out my name!

And on to some pretty bottle photos, my favorite part of previews.

DROOL!

Here are some color blobs:

Do you see that GREEN??? And do you see all that sparkle???  WOW!  I wonder if Meet Me Under The Mistletoe is anything like China Glaze Emerald Sparkle.

Yes, I think I’m buying the whole thing…because…did I ever mention how much I like Orly?  I actually like their bottle and brush better than OPI.  They’re easier on the pocket to be addicted to as well since they don’t keep coming out with 12-piece collections every season plus limited edition polishes (which I hate) plus smaller collections here on there…it’s so dizzying, if you get what I mean?  I just realized that, after accumulating nail polish that would polish my fingers my entire lifetime and get me through the afterlife too, quality is better than quantity.  I’d rather see a small yet well-thought-of capsule collection (think Rescue Beauty Lounge) compared to a large collection that has half reds or half colors that have been done a million times before.

So yes, I will keep buying entire collections of Orly for as long as they’re in the colors I want.  Because Orly rocks my world.  It’s one of the first brands I have tried using when I was a young polish enthusiast (second only to Essie), and it remains one of my favorites.

Can’t wait for all the glitzy Holiday colors to come out!

OPI Burlesque Collection for Winter/Holiday 2010

EDIT: Lipglossiping.com has some awesome bottle pictures over here.  Check it out!  Jaw just dropped to the floor!

Wow. I’m not quite over summer collections yet and news of Holiday collections are already trickling in!

For Winter 2010, OPI is coming out with a 12-piece collection of shimmers and glitters that look so showgirl-ish indeed!  I would love to see more display pics on this collection and the inspiration behind the collection.  The Burlesque Collection release will coincide with the release of the film topbilled by Christina Aguilera.

The glitters alone make my heart skip a beat.  The colors just look so awesome! Here are some

On to the shade descriptions and bottle pictures.

  • Let Me Entertain You – Multi-talented fuchsia mica.
  • Ali’s Big Break – This glowing red shimmer breaks through in style.
  • Tease-y Does It – In this tempting burgundy shimmer.

  • Rising Star – Lustrous glimmering gold.
  • Take the Stage – A warm orange spotlight shimmer.
  • The Show Must Go On! – With this deep pink shimmer on your nails!

  • Bring On The Bling – A gold That glitters that’s Dazzling Beyond.
  • Glow Up Already! – You’re ready for this glittering green.
  • Extra-va-vaganza! – This orange glitter is not for the shy.

  • Simmer & Shimmer – In This glittering piece of blues.
  • Show It & Glow It! – If you’ve got this fuchsia glitter, flaunt it!
  • Sparkle-icious - Multi-color glitter-iciousness

These should be due out sometime November, but historically these come out sometime September/October.  Tip: if you see something you like from the Holiday collection, grab it the moment you see the colors since these tend to fly off the shelves so quickly!
